Funeral Home Website Design and Hosting Companies

Posted on: 07-22-2010 Posted in: Research, Strategic Partner News, Topical Exploration, Uncategorized

When I came into this field some seven years ago, there weren’t one-third as many website design/hosting companies specializing in funeral home marketing as there are today. Just for giggles, I went online, and did two Google searches. One, “funeral home website hosting companies,” and the other “funeral home website design companies.” This is what I found:

www.funeralhomewebsite.com

www.hilltop.net

www.forever-remembered.com

www.funeralone.com

www.funeralhomesites.com

www.funeralfuturist.com

www.directorsadvantage.com

www.memorialsolutions.com

www.aldorsolutions.com

www.twintierstech.com

www.beyondfunerals.com

www.frazerconsultants.com

www.funeralworks.net

www.creativemediaweb.com

Two of these companies are led by men who chose to be our Strategic Partners: Joe Joachim of funeralOne, and Robin Heppell, the Funeral Futurist. Each successfully offers funeral home owners decidedly different website solutions. Joe is an innovator in the business – his website designs are so unlike anything else – they’re almost indescribable…he’s a true visionary. I’m proud to have known Joe for a long, long time – and I’ve watched him create a thriving company – which has changed the “face” of funeral service, one client at a time. Joe has given AWFD members a boost – $100.00 worth of credits for the funeralOne Life Tributes software suite.

Robin has a strong background in Word Press-based sites – like ours, and as a funeral director, he’s got deep insights into the day-to-day business of funeral homes. He’s been an ally to the AWFD since the beginning, when it was just an ‘idea.’ He’s given members access to a 4-disk set of funeral home marketing how-to DVDs – a very useful library of resources.

I can’t thank them enough for supporting us this past year.

The others are completely unfamiliar to me. I would love to hear from funeral professionals who have used any of these companies to design/host their websites,  to learn more about client satisfaction. I’d also like to hear from the company leaders – to better understand what they do for their funeral home clients. Ultimately, I’d like to create a website design/hosting guide for our members – so let’s get some information that’s going to help others make the challenging decisions about design/hosting companies.
