Expansion and Risk-Taking

Posted on: 08-28-2009 Posted in: Uncategorized

I receive emails from Kristin and David Morelli, the founders of Everything is Energy. Their most recent email included great information on expansion, the topic of our launch event…and I thought it appropriate to share:

“In our lives we continually expand ourselves by taking risks. The biggest risks often feel like jumping off the cliff without a guarantee you will land alive. But these are the moments in which we grow into our greatest expressions of ourselves. In fact, getting comfortable outside your comfort zone is why most people and companies in our world are successful.

If you are like the two of us, it is about incorporating risk into everything you do to continually expand in every area of life. Just last weekend we chose the steepest possible route to bike our way down some thrilling yet fear inducing Colorado backcountry terrain. Not only did this scare the [bleep] out of us – it expanded us in surprising ways. And because of this we are so happy we set aside our fears and took the risk.

Expansion and growth is our mantra, and it has led both of us to reach beyond what we ever imagined possible. As a result we are living our dreams. Bottom line: Get comfortable outside your comfort zone.”

Kristin recommends these three tips:

TIP #1: Have faith.
When you move forward in faith, you magnetically attract the outcome that serves your highest good.

TIP #2: Honor where you are.
Often we get that nudge to take risks that exceed our comfort zone. It is important that you listen to your inner wisdom and really honor your process.

TIP #3: Let go.
Sometimes when you take a risk it can feel like a free fall. Often our gut reaction is to seize up and scramble to feel back in control. Yet when you detach yourself from the outcome, you are actually allowing space for possibility to arise.

Brilliant!
