Become a Mentor

To become a mentor you must be a woman funeral service professional working in the field for at least 2 years. Please read the Tips for Building a Strong Mentoring Relationship.
Know that you have our gratitude for your willingness to become a mentor to a woman just starting her career in funeral service.

The Mentorship Program Coordinator will do her best to carefully match a mentor with a mentee – depending on mutual interests, age, and location (time zone).

Mentoring relationships are set for three months. After that time, the relationship is evaluated, and the decision to continue or terminate (and assign a new mentor, if needed) is made by both parties in the final mentoring conversation.
The goal of mentoring is to provide support and insights, based on the mentor’s experience. The mentor may challenge the mentee by setting the stage for new ideas, since real learning very rarely happens in a sterile and safe environment.
